*Note To Self*

  • Do Not eat Rocky Mountain Oysters. They are cow balls.
  • Branding has nothing to do with a line of products or anything "Brand name." It is called cow burning in my book.
  • I signed up to take 5 "Turtles" instead of eating said Rocky Mountain Oysters.
  • If I put a snake in Shane's truck, it is grounds for a "Divorce."
  • Bring clothes that can be thrown away if needed.
Got it.

Little Moments

Last night, Carter asked me to lay by him. That, by the way, was the best Mother's Day gift ever, because it is rare that he wants to snuggle. Here is how the conversation went:

Lights are completely off, Carter is tucked in his bed with Buzz, Woody and his nasty Christmas Tree Blanket.

Carter: Mom, Sit by you?
Me: I can lay by you, baby. Sure. But I will  need a kiss first.
Carter: (Leaning up to kiss me) I love you, mommy.
Me: I love you, Beetle. (Crawling into his bed now)
Carter: Mom, hold you closer.
Me: Sure. (My arms holding him closer)
Carter: Now roll over, mommy.
Me: Like this? (After I rolled)
Carter: No, the other way. (I rolled back..)
Me: Is this better? (And I feel a little hand creeping down my neck...then to the boob)
Carter: Yes. I just pinch your boob mom. Now go to sleep.
Me: Hey! We don't pinch boobs, Carter. It hurts and it isn't nice.
Carter: But I "Wike" it, mom.
Me: (Laughing so hard, silently...) Well, we can't do that. I love you. Goodnight.
Carter: Goodnight mom. Goodnight Boobie.

In case you were wondering, he was pre-programmed to do that. Naughty! Don't let his binky sucking, sweet talking behavior confuse you. It never ends, and I love it. (Although we are still working on not pinching boobs...and saying the "S" word.)

I just first wanted to post a picture for Monday Madness that makes me smile. Here are the pictures that sit on my desk at work.
My Better Half and me, My little Family and Carter

Today is Clayton's Birthday. Clayton....not my favorite person, but he is Carter's Dad.
Carter and Clayton playing the drums, Summer 2009

Dear Clayton,
I wanted to wish you a happy birthday, as your friend. Your last birthday wasn't great, because we were having problems. A lot of problems. May this year be filled with better memories.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for everything. Nothing is going to change what happened, nor would I want it to. Everything happens for a reason. I wish you happiness and light throughout your life. You granted me the greatest wish I have ever known, and that is my beautiful son. We gave our 5 years a good run, and for heaven sakes, let's always remember the good! You are such a great dad to Carter and we have done a great job as co-parents. I look forward to watching you be successful and making your dreams come true. Although you and I will never be close again, I do wish you well. I am definitely cheering on the sidelines for you to achieve big things. Happy Birthday from Carter and me, again.

Forever Your Friend,
Kelsie

P.S. At least you don't have to celebrate twice with my family anymore. I know you really hated that. :)

Have You Ever

Been told the following:

Me: I love you to the moon and back 38 times.
Griz: Well I got ya beat. I love you to the end of space.
Me: What is the end of space? No one knows where the universe ends.
Griz: That is how much I love ya. Endlessly.

Very Interesting Finds

This is a handle to a toy in the Zoo gift shop. Lacey spotted it. I gasped, then went to do some investigating. Not what you think it is, pervert.

I went through some stuff in storage and found these tiny clothes that were once Carter's. I totally cried about it.

I found the only sharp, nasty germ-infested corner at the zoo and sliced my leg open. Hot. "Damn it Kels, We cannot take you anywhere!" (Said by the best friends ever, with love!)

Being a Mom is the Best

Carter's Daycare/Preschool had a Mother's Day Tea Party for the mom's and it was the sweetest thing ever. All of the kids sang a few songs and we had our tea party and they gave us a little gift. I love being a mom. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Michelle, Carter's teacher. Love her.

Trip To The Zoo

Still haven't figured out why we go to the zoo when we run a 3-ring circus just hanging out together. Plus, the Hogle Zoo kind of sucks. Ok, it is a total pile. Whatever. Our kids liked it. Again, thank you to my sweet girls for another fun adventure. I am a lucky girl to have you.
